Emerging Philanthropists Happy Hour Social

Join us at Black Band Distillery in Peoria's Historical Warehouse District for great food, drinks, and networking while learning how you can make a difference by becoming a member of the Emerging Philanthropists Fund. This is a free event, so go ahead and bring a friend along!
 

Black Band is the first craft distillery producing spirits in Peoria, Illinois, and their Certified Organic unique spirits are from organic farmers right here in Illinois.

We will also be using this time as an opportunity to collect donations to assist with needs related to HOWIE, “Hygiene. On. Wheels. Independence. Empowered.”, a collaboration between the Heart of Illinois United Way, Home for All Continuum of Care, and Phoenix Community Development Services. Phoenix Community Development Services received $5,000 through the 2020 Emerging Philanthropists Fund grant to support this mobile hygiene unit to serve individuals experiencing homelessness. They are in need of items to include in their toiletry grab bags, such as:

New bath towels
New wash cloths
New drawstring laundry bags
Laundry detergent (pods only – no liquid or powder detergent, please)
TRAVEL SIZES of the following items: lotion, deodorant, shaving cream, toothpaste
Disposable razors
Toothbrushes
Small plastic combs
