“Hope for Kids” Carnival-Theme Benefit

Description
The Pediatric Resource Center will host its annual fundraising event, “Hope for Kids” on Saturday, October 19, at Jump Simulation 1306 N. Berkeley, Peoria. Proceeds from this event help PRC ensure the clinics are staffed with specially-trained providers and case coordinators so that children can receive the services that are crucial to their well-being, health and safety. Additionally, funds raised help PRC to provide education to area physicians, nurses and other collateral partners regarding prevention efforts and child abuse / neglect concerns.

The carnival-theme event features heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails with music by Felix and Fingers dueling pianos from Chicago. Live and silent auctions through GalaBid mobile bidding (https://apps.galabid.com/hopeforkids2019) will feature unique and exciting items, including themed gift baskets, vacation packages, jewelry and much more. All proceeds benefit the PRC’s medical and case management services for central Illinois abused and neglected children.

For more than 25 years, the Pediatric Resource Center has provided specialized medical and social services to over 10,500 children when concerns of child physical abuse, sexual abuse or neglect were present. The need for PRC’s specialized, child-friendly medical services continues to grow at record levels. The Pediatric Resource Center (PRC) is a service provider of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria and affiliated with Children’s Hospital of Illinois. Since its inception in 1993, more than 10,500 children from 54 Illinois counties have received medical and social services from PRC.
