Easterseals provides exceptional services to ensure that people with disabilities and their families have equal opportunity to live, learn, work and play in their communities. Our purpose is to change the way the world defines and views disability by making profound, positive differences in people's lives every day.
For nearly 100 years, Easterseals has been the indispensable resource for people and families challenged by disability. Now, as America faces a broad range of new issues, we make a major, positive, life - changing difference in the lives of people and families challenged by today's disabilities. The work we do every day is redefining disability for the 21st century.
It has been more than 90 years since the roots of Easterseals were planted in Central Illinois. What started as a once-a-week clinic in a downtown storefront in Peoria for just a few children, has blossomed into two pediatric specialty service centers and an outdoor recreational center serving thousands of children and adults with disabilities and their families every year.
Widely recognized as a place of hope and progress, Easterseals provides a broad array of programs, services, and facilities serving people with disabilities of all ages in central Illinois.
Easterseals provides services for children and adults with developmental delays, disabilities, autism and other special needs. Services are designed to improve functional as well as life skills.
